This car is the current world record holder in land
speed racing class E/GMR. The record was first set by this car in August of
2004 shattering the existing world record of 170.484 mph by 43.249 mph
establishing a new world record of 213.733 mph. Subsequently in 2005 this
car reset the record at 221.524mph. |

The Class designation is broken down as follows: |

E: engine displacement of 260 cubic inches max. (4.26
liters) |
|
G: normally aspirated gasoline |
|
MR: modified roadster, vintage category (1923-1938
body). |
|
|
|
Extensive modification are allowed except that the body
must be an exact replica of the original 1923-38 body. |
